Client: Alliance

Country: Russia

Sector: Petrol Station Network

Project: Rebranding

Agency: Minale Tattersfield, London

Alliance Oil is a leading oil and gas company in Russia and their petrol station network needed rebranding to enable it to compete against strongly branded competition. The 'A' graphic was completely redrawn and a ribbon device developed from the logo into a secondary branding device which then wrapped visually around structures on the forecourt. The Alliance colour palette was strengthened with the addition of a bright green to complement the blue/green. Sub brand identities were also developed, for the Green Eco fuel brand and the shop EcoMarket. The architectural structures were designed and shaped to work with the ribbon device. Night-time illumination was considered for impact, legibility and energy saving attributes. The scope of work included the forecourt canopy, price totem, the pump areas, branding for a green fuel offer, exterior and interior shop graphics and a brand guidelines manual that set out all the technical specifications of the site as well as the graphic elements. The ribbon device worked well to brand the site across all areas such as this entry sign. The architectural structure of the petrol station was also designed, with curves softening edges and working with the ribbon shapes. The high impact graphics attract customers in a competitive market.

Client: Youth Party

Country: Nigeria

Sector: Political Party

Project: Corporate Identity

Agency: Studio Eleven

Youth Party is a new generation political association made up of individuals and groups that seek to serve and unite Nigerians. Studio Eleven designed their symbol, the 'Y' figure with arms aloft in triumph, its fingers making the victory sign.

We also created their slogan, 'Shape the Future' as a call to arms for people to get involved and be a part of their own exciting future with the party. We created identity guidelines for the brand, so that the Youth Party could work with other suppliers knowing their brand image could be controlled.

Aon France commissioned a Christmas illustration from Studio Eleven, to capture 8 of their team members enjoying the Christmas period. We were sent their photos to caricature and we created the theme of an alpine cabin with the team unwrapping their presents, all unique to the person.

You can commission your own Christmas or themed cartoon, they are extremely popular with customers and staff. People love the humour and the detail.

Client: RSG Europe

Country: UK

Sector: Mergers & Acquisitions Insurance

Project: Illustration

Agency: Studio Eleven

RSG Europe (formerly Hunter George & Partners) commission an annual Christmas cartoon as a thank you to the city and its brokers. Around 70 individual caricatures, all with personal character traits. It is emailed out and also printed as a framed gift. This year's theme was an advent calendar with windows opening in each month's email to reveal brokers having fun. This is the final reveal, with all windows opened.

Feedback on these cartoons is phenomenal and as an email marketing piece is highly successful and an immeasurable PR device.

Studio Eleven designed a website for RSG Europe, including illustrations. A storyboard structured the site and content before final development.

Tip: If you want to see a website idea before the time consuming and costly web build it's best to develop a storyboard first. Studio Eleven can design visuals of each page very quickly with ideas for animations, links and content to give you a clear idea of what to expect before it goes to a dedicated web design team for building and hosting.

Now operating as RSG Transactional Risks Europe, HG commissioned many illustrations from us. This is a Halloween themed cartoon of the HG team as zombies stopping at nothing to get the best deal.

For this fun piece the HG team went out of their way to send us photographs of themselves pulling dramatic faces so that Studio Eleven could capture them as the undead. Each person has character traits relevant to them, such as Marc, bottom right, who loves his golf and Nelly, bottom left, who is partial to animal print clothing and likes horse riding...

This drawing was emailed out at Halloween and Studio Eleven also sent HG a large framed poster for their office.

Client: Oil Libya

Country: Africa

Sector: Petrol Station Network

Project: Rebranding

Agency: Minale Tattersfield, London

Oil Libya required rebranding to reach new African markets and there was existing heritage in their brand despite the negative word 'oil' and the restriction of their geographic locale.

A new word was created, OLA, which sounds celebratory and positive and which as an acronym stands for 'Oil Libya Africa' without explicitly stating it.

A fluid shaped Africa continent was designed and the colour palette updated. Blue symbolises excellence and quality, orange represents energy and vitality and the white line from Libya in the North runs through Africa, highlighting the roads on which OLA serves customers throughout the country.

The station forecourt and Marhaba shop graphics were designed as well as the O' card fuel purchase offer.

Client: International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC)

Country: Dubai

Sector: Investment

Project: Branding

Agency: IDentity

IPIC required an identity on establishing their investment company in Dubai. The global reach of the company plus the oil and gas nature of their business were depicted within the logo.

IPIC partnered with Real Madrid as a strategic ally and to promote football schools.

Tip: If your organisation simply wants an identity for your company in the form of a logo or logotype do what IPIC did and commission only that.

Later, other agencies or studios can take the ball and run with it, applying your identity to a range of materials.

We always provide some basic visual guidelines so that other suppliers know how to use the identity consistently and correctly. In this case two pages of rules on colour, font and spacing sufficed but for larger projects this could run to many pages and up to entire manuals of information on visual style, tone of voice and master technical drawings.

Client: Don't Tell Fred

Country: UK

Sector: Restaurant & Lounge Bar

Project: Branding, Marketing, Interiors

Agency: Studio Eleven

A restaurant and bar which was part-owned by Studio Eleven's Nick Theato.

Studio Eleven created the name of the restaurant and designed the interiors. We also produced the branding and marketing materials in the form of social media announcements, website, menus, posters and advertising.

The kitchen, restaurant, lounge, toilets, both bars and garden were designed after extensive refurbishment, also handled by Studio Eleven.

The name Don't Tell Fred was created by Nick to be different and enigmatic. Along with attractive visuals the back story of secrecy and intrigue increased the profile of the restaurant and drove sales.

Visuals and plans were drawn up by Studio Eleven to plot every aspect of the business across two floors of its ground floor restaurant and basement lounge bar. The two bars and the kitchen were designed, planned and built and the decor and fittings, much of it bespoke, were created and installed.

Client: Three D's

Country: Greece

Sector: Publishing

Project: Infographics

Agency: Studio Eleven

A book called Energise about the evolution of petrol retail needed several infographics to illustrate future economy models.

Studio Eleven spent time in Greece to develop these infographic models with the author. A style was created and the illustration here focuses on the future decentralised economy with its move away from the dependent petrol retail offer.

As such, you can see autonomous vehicles summoned by wifi and more shared facilities, with solar power and farming changes, meaning a more sustainable and community based way of living.

This type of thinking can only be shown through infographics such as these.

Client: Liaizon

Country: UK

Sector: Concierge

Project: Website

Agency: Studio Eleven

Liaizon, a concierge company, wanted a website for its very discerning clients to book services such as accommodation, private air transport, education, healthcare, shopping and staff recruitment.

We first created a name for the company, appropriate to their business, spelled as Liaizon, with its creed of everything from A-Z highlighted in the logo.

Studio Eleven designed the website as a storyboard, planning each page and how the interactive structure would work. We also brainstormed on the services to offer and assisted with content development, as well as writing the text in a style appealing to potential clients.

It had to be multilingual, offer a subscription based VIP service and look luxurious throughout. A women's section was a website within a website, with a range of high-end services including personal shopping, healthcare, beauty and wedding planning.
